Clutch

That was a but of a challenge.

Nicky very kindly organised the fixing of my car whilst I was away - new clutch and new front brakes - for a considerably cheaper price than the Citroen garage wanted.

My only difficulty now is learning how to drive my car once again. What was once a clutch peddle that moved a long way, and almost all of the way up before a biting point appeared, is now a peddle that moves hardly at all, and the biting point occurs almost immediately. Plus some more right foot is needed into the bargain.

When it takes getting on for an hour and a half to drive the twenty-ish miles to work, there's plenty of time for biting point practice, and based on this morning's showing, plenty of practice is what I need.

Winners

Writing this on Monday for Sunday's post, so able to confirm the overnight winner as well.

A quick roundup of winners:

Superbowl - Kansas (4th quarter comeback against the 49ers)

Baftas - 1917 (most awards)

Sunday's football - Spurs (somehow beat Man City against the run of play)

Sunday's Six Nations - France (England's late comeback just not enough).

Neighbourhood

Third trip to the cinema in one month - got to be a record.

A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood.

Went in with high hopes. After all, it was Tom Hanks, plus there seemed to be some encouraging noises about the film.

We both came out a little underwhelmed by the whole thing.

Shame!
