Penalties

There's a new tactic for a penalty shootout - substitute your keeper with a minute left in extra time! Still, it paid off as Holland go through to the semi finals.

Founder's Day today was mostly cold! We missed out on the cathedral service, due to lack of space whilst renovation work is taking place, but we went down to school for the afternoon, and shivered whilst watching a bit of sport (or actually reading the paper and doing the crossword). Still, nice as always to see Mr Fry for a chat.

Jake has been playing his exam pieces to me this evening. Call from Mrs Cook this morning with instructions to be focusing on dynamics, and he's doing a good job of building them into his pieces. The rhythm for Song for Guy is still proving difficult - we'll have to have Elton John on repeat play for the next few days.

Finally for today, a couple of panoramas that I have stitched together from photos taken on Thursday. Looking at the roof line does show the limitations of photo stitching rather than proper panoramas, but the upside is that you can see the same pair of players walking off the court twice in the second one!
