Little drummer boy

Today we took delivery of four boxes of drum-kit goodies - one of which was alarmingly large. Nicky did an excellent job of unpacking and building, so that by the time that Jake got home from school, his Christmas present was put together in the games room and ready to play. The only slight problem was that in order to play with headphones a large to small plug (to use the technical term) socket adaptor was required. We've definitely got (had?) one somewhere, but despite looking in all the likely places, Nicky wasn't able to track it down, and so she had the inspired idea of going over the road and seeing if we could borrow a small amplifier.

Hopefully we are still on speaking terms with the neighbours.

Whilst round for tea this evening, Grandad said that he's got an adaptor, so hopefully Jake will be able to plug in from now on.

In holiday news, I called up OKW, and after a moment of confusion when they tried to locate our booking, put in our room request preferences for when we check in on Saturday. I asked for one of buildings 23, 24 or 62, in that order. Will be interesting to see if they can do this for us - we'll know for sure pretty soon now.
