And so we've arrived at that moment when bags come down from the loft, and packing can begin in earnest. No more school, no more teaching, no more work, and the most important thing becomes making sure we take everything that we want on holiday.
Clothes are the easy bit - a few t-shirts, a fleece, jeans, shorts and swimming trunks are the most important. Token gesture of a marginally smarter pair of trousers, shirt and jumper, which may all come back home unworn.
The more difficult bit seems to be the electrical kit - cameras, pods, pads and phones (all "i"), games consoles, batteries, walkie talkies, and enough chargers that if we stretched out all of the leads they'd probably reach from here to Disney World.
Then, the most difficult bit - which books to take. Still mulling that one over - may end up making a final decision in the morning.
Oh yeah, and apparently we have some money, passports and tickets as well. Nicky's in charge of that.
