It may have been a couple of weeks ago that a carved pumpkin was outside our front door, but the carved out flesh did not get thrown away. It was put in the freezer for future use. So, today we had pumpkin soup for tea, with chunks of bread to dunk in it. And the good news is that there are two more servings still to enjoy. One has gone back in the freezer and the other may well come with us to football tomorrow to keep us warm on the touchline (by the way, mercurial Jake has finally got his new mercurial boots - in orange - after a trip into town this morning).
