Journey here was reasonably uneventful. Gatwick weren't in their most efficient mode today getting us checked in and through security, but we made it in time to have a burger at Cafe Rouge and do a bit of shopping before heading to our gate.
In the end we were about an hour late taking off - I think the main cause of the delay was unloading passengers from the inbound flight who needed special assistance. Once we were up and away we reverted to type - me reading my book and Nicky having a snooze. Glad that the flight wasn't any longer as whilst it was fine, the legroom wasn't overly impressive.
Kos airport seems fairly small, but we still had to wait a while for our bag to appear, but then it was into a minibus to transfer to our hotel. There was only one other couple, with their two-year-old, sharing with us, and their hotel (Diamond Delux - also looks very nice) isn't very far from ours.
Arrived here at the hotel, and we were given a brief tour whilst enjoying our welcome champagne. Turned out there has been a bit of confusion with the booking of our room, but the upshot seems to be that we are safely ensconced in a "Signature Suite".
Right, whilst I have been typing this, a couple of the photos that Nicky took have come through on the Photo Stream and so here is our room, and also our own private deck, sun lounger and pool.
