Mauling

Nicky is full of cold today, so retired to bed early whilst I watched the football. On reflection, I probably should have turned the TV off and had an early night as well. Spurs got a mauling from Madrid, and spent the vast majority of the game on the back foot, without the ball, in their own half of the field manfully defending as best they could with only ten men. Crouch, normally a Europe hero, had two moments of madness in the first fifteen minutes making completely unnecessary challenges up front, and rightly was shown two yellow cards.

So, all we need to do in the return leg at White Hart Lane is keep a clean sheet and score five. Terrific.

Went on a trip out to Bluey today, mostly with a view to avoiding having to do any sorting out at home. As we were saying to John and Margaret over lunch, this week will probably go by without even poking our heads into the loft to contemplate the task that is sorting it out and clearing out old junk.

Tomorrow we are going to have a look at the house in Nashenden Valley, so watch this space for a report.

And, as to the rememberings from last year, well this time last year we enjoyed a few cable car rides around San Francisco, and did some shopping in the city. No need to post a photo, as there's on in the banner at the top of this page!
