We've had a visitor today - Emma, who was our bridesmaid all those years ago, has come to see us. Nicky picked her up this morning at Ebbsfleet and they did Bluey together, and then Emma has come back here to stay over, and so has been able to marvel at how tall Jake is now, and no doubt at how much greyer my hair is compared with when she last saw me.
This time last year, we arrived in LA, and more specifically, at Disneyland.
