Today is 11 January, for another half an hour or so. And today is one of those numerically notable dates in that it can be written with just one digit - 11/1/11. Sometimes days like these (or similar ones like 12/11/10) appear all the time, and sometimes they take ages to come round again. For example, the last time that we had a single digit day was on New Year's Day, and we'll get a couple more in November, but then they won't come around again for another 11 years.
It was a red letter day at home today, thanks to a couple of deliveries. Jake's game arrived. He'd remembered playing a game when Paul visited a couple of years ago and brought his Xbox, but Jake couldn't remember what it was called. Thankfully we tracked a copy down at the weekend and ordered it online. The other delivery was Nicky's food mixer, so I am looking forward to cakes at the weekend.
By the way, thanks to Kate for the comment. If I knew how to comment on comments then I would (although might be a challenge from the iPad). Wasn't meant to be a poem, just a short and sweet blog, but glad you liked it!
