Jake was off out this morning with his friend Owen to go to a birthday party. Despite all of the party-goers being from Jake's local school, the party was in Canterbury, but Owen's Mum had kindly offered to be a taxi service. Unfortunately this meant that Jake and Owen missed their football match today, and it turned out that the team won 6-0. No doubt they will hear all about it at training tomorrow.
Nicky did roast chicken for lunch, followed by a rhubarb creation from Jamie's 30 minute book. A little panic seemed to set in as dishing up time approached, but both courses were top notch.
Jake and Granddad went off to the ice hockey this evening, where apparently their team gave up a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2. Seems to have summed up a bit of a rough sporting day - Murray losing the Australian Open final, England losing the one day series, and Spurs crashing out of the Cup. I'll just have to start supporting Crawley Town!
